Lizzy is an experienced clinician who has focused on substance use issues as well as underlying factors that contribute to a person self-medicating. She also has experience with working in primarily mental health programs. Lizzy strives to create a welcoming environment where people feel comfortable with being vulnerable. This focus on creating a safe environment has helped create lasting clinical relationships. Lizzy has a variety of experience with people in different developmental stages including working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. Lizzy’s most recent emphasis in her clinical practice has been focusing on strength-based interventions that increase self-compassion for those who struggle with low self-worth and self-defeating beliefs that lead to destructive cycles. Lizzy utilizes several different techniques and theories in order to help people find their own individualized pathways to recovery. She has focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well as values-based interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to aid others in creating insight and awareness in order to increase congruence and authenticity. In addition, Lizzy has a passion for healing through the body in order to create a focus on holistic methods for overall improvement in a healthy lifestyle.
